Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Planning Engineer - Civil based in Ahmedabad. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure timely project completion. Core responsibilities include developing detailed production plans, monitoring progress, performing project control activities, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders to address challenges and resolve issues swiftly.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare, update, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
  2. Develop baseline programs, progress measurement systems, and recovery plans when required.
  3. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to gather progress data.
  4. Analyze project delays and recommend corrective actions to recover lost time.
  5. Prepare and submit periodic progress reports, S-curves, and manpower histograms.
  6. Participate in project planning meetings and contribute to project control strategies.
  7. Assist in preparing cash flow projections, resource allocation plans, and material requirement schedules.
  8. Review contract documents, BOQs, and drawings to identify critical activities and milestones.
  9. Support in claims preparation, EOT (Extension of Time) analysis, and delay impact assessment.
  10. Ensure that project planning and reporting procedures comply with company standards and client requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  2. 3–7 years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling of civil/construction projects.
  3. Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel-based planning tools.
  4. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and project management principles.
  5. Knowledge of cost control, resource planning, and earned value analysis is desirable.
  6. Familiar with project documentation, contractual terms, and FIDIC conditions.
