Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and efficient Waiter/Steward to join our food service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests by providing excellent customer service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the dining area.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and seat guests in a professional and courteous manner.
Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about ingredients or specials).
Take food and beverage orders accurately.
Relay orders to the kitchen and ensure timely delivery of items.
Serve food and beverages to guests in an efficient and courteous manner.
Check on guest satisfaction and address any issues promptly.
Clear and clean tables, resetting them for the next guests.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the dining area.
Handle billing and payments, including cash and card transactions.
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff for smooth operation.
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a waiter, steward, or in a similar role.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Multilingual abilities for customer service.
Knowledge of POS systems.
Basic math skills for handling transactions.
Teamwork and a proactive attitude.
