Role Overview
The AGM/DGM/GM – Procurement will lead strategic sourcing, vendor development,
contract negotiations, and end-to-end procurement for large-scale infrastructure
projects. The role requires deep understanding of EPC project materials,
subcontracting, supply chain optimization, and cost control to ensure timely and cost-
effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement Strategy & Planning
 Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines,
budgets, and company goals.
 Plan yearly and project-wise procurement schedules for materials, equipment,
and services.
 Ensure adherence to procurement policies, governance, and audit compliance.
2. Sourcing & Vendor Management
 Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
 Conduct vendor capability assessments, technical/commercial evaluations, and
risk analysis.
 Build long-term supplier relationships to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
3. Tendering, Negotiation & Contracts
 Lead end-to-end tendering, RFQ/RFP, bid comparison, and techno-commercial
negotiations.
 Finalize purchase orders, rate contracts, and subcontract agreements in
coordination with legal & project teams.

 Drive cost optimization through strategic negotiations, bulk buying, long-term
contracts, and value engineering.
4. Project Procurement Execution
 Monitor procurement progress vs. project schedules and flag delays proactively.
 Coordinate with engineering, planning, construction, finance, and logistics teams.
 Ensure timely delivery of materials/equipment to project sites.
 Manage import procurement (if applicable) including logistics, customs, and
documentation.
5. Cost Control & MIS
 Achieve cost savings targets without compromising quality and timelines.
 Maintain procurement trackers, dashboards, and MIS for management review.
 Analyze market trends and price fluctuations for key materials.
6. Quality, Compliance & Risk Management
 Ensure procurement meets statutory, contractual, and quality requirements.
 Mitigate supply chain risks by maintaining alternate vendors and contingency
plans.
 Drive ethical procurement practices and ESG compliance.

Key Deliverables
 On-time availability of project materials, equipment, and subcontracting services
 Procurement cost savings and budget adherence
 Strong vendor ecosystem and compliant procurement documentation
 Improved procurement cycle time and process efficiency

Required Qualifications & Experience
 Education: B.E./B. Tech (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) + MBA in Supply
Chain/Operations preferred
 Experience: 16–25 years in procurement, with minimum 5 years in an
infrastructure/EPC environment

 Experience in procurement of:
o Civil materials (cement, steel, aggregates, asphalt, etc.)
o MEP materials
o Heavy machinery / construction equipment / plant & tools
o Subcontracting packages
 Familiarity with SAP / ERP systems.
