Job Description: Area Sales Manager

Statcon Powtech Private Limited, a leading manufacturer of solar inverters and power electronics solutions, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Area Sales Manager to oversee sales operations, manage channel partners, and drive revenue growth within assigned territories across India. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, market insight, and a proven track record of building and managing sales networks in the solar or power electronics domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
  • Identify, appoint, and manage dealers, distributors, EPCs, and channel partners within the designated area
  • Provide guidance and support to Field Sales Representatives to ensure effective market coverage and lead conversion
  • Conduct client meetings, technical presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase Statcon Powtech's solutions
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, customer needs, and emerging opportunities to refine sales strategies
  • Monitor performance metrics and ensure healthy sales pipeline management across the territory
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Coordinate with internal departments including Marketing, Production, Logistics, and After-Sales Service for seamless operations
  • Handle escalations, negotiate pricing/contracts, and finalize major business deals within authority limits
  • Represent Statcon Powtech at industry trade fairs, expos, and business events to enhance brand presence
  • Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback for management review

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 
    3 years of sales experience

in solar energy, power electronics, or related industrial sectors
- Proven ability to 
manage channel partners

, expand regional sales networks, and lead a sales team
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with a results-oriented mindset
- Ability to plan, forecast, and execute territory-specific sales strategies
- Familiarity with CRM tools, spreadsheets, and basic digital marketing practices
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region
- Bachelor's degree in 
Business, Marketing, Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as an Area Sales Manager or Senior Sales Executive in the renewable energy sector
  • Technical knowledge of solar inverters, power conditioning systems, and related technologies
  • Understanding of local regulatory policies and market dynamics in the assigned region
  • Proficiency in local languages of the territory
