Job Summary:

The Banking Operations Executive will be responsible for handling day-to-day operational activities including new account opening, KYC verification, account maintenance, and related service requests. The role ensures all banking processes comply with internal policies, regulatory standards, and deliver superior customer service.

- Nariman Point, Mumbai (Candidates from Mumbai can only apply.)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Account Opening & Maintenance

  • Process new account opening requests for savings, current, and other deposit products.
  • Verify account opening forms and documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Handle changes in customer details such as address, contact information, and nominee updates.
  • Manage account closures and reactivations as per bank policy.

2. KYC & Compliance

  • Perform due diligence and KYC verification in line with regulatory requirements (RBI, AML, etc.).
  • Monitor and update KYC records periodically to ensure compliance.
  • Flag and report discrepancies or suspicious transactions as per compliance guidelines.

3. Transaction Processing & Support

  • Assist with cheque book issuance, debit card requests, and stop payment instructions.
  • Handle fund transfer requests, standing instructions, and account linking.

4. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper filing of account and KYC documents.
  • Generate and review daily/weekly reports related to new accounts, KYC pending cases, and operations.

5. Coordination & Teamwork

  • Coordinate with branch staff, compliance, and IT teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in banking operations or back-office functions preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of KYC norms, RBI guidelines, and basic banking products.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and core banking systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
