Treasury Manager

Job Purpose:

The Treasury Manager is responsible for managing the companys liquidity, investments, and risk management related to financial activities. The role involves overseeing cash flow, forecasting, banking relationships, debt management, and ensuring optimal utilization of funds while minimizing financial risks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cash & Liquidity Management

  • Monitor daily cash positions and ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
  • Optimize use of surplus funds through short-term investments and treasury instruments.
  • Develop cash flow forecasts and variance analysis to support decision-making.

2. Banking & Relationship Management

  • Maintain and manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and lenders.
  • Negotiate banking terms, fees, credit lines, and loan agreements.
  • Coordinate banking operations, account openings, signatories, and related documentation.

3. Treasury Operations

  • Ensure smooth execution of payments, collections, and fund transfers.
  • Manage foreign exchange (FX) exposures and hedging strategies.
  • Implement treasury policies, internal controls, and compliance frameworks.

4. Funding & Debt Management

  • Manage existing debt facilities and monitor interest costs.
  • Evaluate and arrange funding options to meet business requirements.
  • Support capital-raising initiatives when required.

5. Risk & Compliance

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate treasury-related financial risks.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain documentation for audits, board reporting, and statutory filings.

6. Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly treasury reports for management and the board.
  • Analyze trends in interest rates, exchange rates, and market conditions.
  • Provide recommendations for improving cash flow efficiency and cost of capital.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • CA, or MBA in Finance are an advantage.
  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in treasury, corporate finance, or banking.
  • Strong knowledge of cash management, banking products, and financial markets.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and treasury management software
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
