To effectively manage the organizations liquidity, funding, banking relationships, and investment activities. The role ensures that funds are available for project execution, working capital requirements, and compliance with financial covenants while optimizing returns and minimizing financial risks.

Role & responsibilities

1. Cash Flow & Liquidity Management

  • Prepare and monitor daily / weekly cash flow statements across projects and corporate accounts.
  • Forecast short-term and long-term fund requirements based on project schedules and receivable timelines.
  • Manage inter-company fund transfers and ensure optimal use of idle funds.
  • Maintain adequate liquidity for ongoing projects, vendor payments, and statutory dues.

2. Banking & Fund Management

  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions.
  • Negotiate banking facilities (CC limits, term loans, BGs, LC limits, overdrafts, etc.).
  • Oversee documentation and renewals of bank facilities, BGs, and LC arrangements.
  • Monitor interest costs, utilization of limits, and ensure compliance with sanction terms.
  • Ensure timely submission of stock statements, QIS reports, CMA data, and other periodic MIS to banks.

3. Project Financing & Loan Management

  • Coordinate with finance institutions for project-specific funding, construction finance, and equipment leasing.
  • Support in financial modelling, DSCR analysis, and drawdown schedules.
  • Track loan repayments, interest schedules, and ensure no defaults.
  • Assist CFO in fund-raising strategy and evaluating cost of funds across options.

4. Vendor & Payment Management

  • Ensure timely disbursement of vendor and subcontractor payments as per project priorities.
  • Implement payment approval workflows and treasury controls.
  • Optimize payment schedules to manage cash flows effectively without delaying project progress.

5. Investment & Surplus Fund Management

  • Monitor investment of surplus funds in short-term deposits, liquid mutual funds, or other safe instruments.
  • Ensure risk-adjusted returns and proper accounting of investment income.

6. Risk Management & Compliance

  • Monitor and mitigate currency, interest rate, and liquidity risks.
  • Ensure compliance with RBI, Companies Act, and internal treasury policies.
  • Maintain accurate treasury records and assist in internal & statutory audits.

7. Management Reporting & MIS

  • Generate weekly / monthly Treasury MIS, including:

  • Cash position summary

  • Bank limit utilization
  • Loan maturity and repayment schedules

  • Interest cost reports

  • Support management decision-making with scenario-based cash flow forecasts.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA (Finance) / ICWA
  • Experience: 5 to 7 years, preferably in Real Estate / EPC / Contracting industry

  • Technical Skills:

  • Treasury Management Systems / ERP

  • Advanced Excel & MIS reporting
  • Knowledge of CMA, loan documentation, and bank covenants
