Job Description

We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), with experience in creating test cases, executing tests, reporting bugs, and ensuring the highest quality standards for web and software applications. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for executing various types of testing, including cross-browser, compatibility testing, and ensuring that projects meet client and business expectations. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining comprehensive testing documentation, collaborate on DevOps pipelines, and gain exposure to AWS infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand and apply various SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) processes and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the alignment of quality assurance processes with the overall project goals.
  • Develop comprehensive test cases and test plans based on functional specifications, requirements, and user stories.
  • Ensure test cases cover all relevant scenarios, including positive, negative, and edge cases, and are aligned with the project requirements.
  • Analyze test execution results, and ensure that any deviations are promptly reported and escalated as necessary.
  • Work with developers to ensure bug fixes are implemented and perform retesting to confirm that issues have been resolved.
  • Provide detailed testing reports summarizing test execution, defect status, and test coverage.
  • Conduct cross-browser testing to ensure that web applications are consistent and function correctly across a wide range of browsers
  • Maintain thorough testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, defect logs, and test execution results.
  • Contribute to the knowledge base by documenting best practices, tools, and processes used in testing.
  • Understand the project lifecycle and the interdependencies between the development, testing, and deployment phases.
  • Good to have Basic API knowledge
  • Participate in test planning, review requirements, and provide feedback to improve testing coverage.
  • Idea of microservices
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in manual testing and quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and various testing methodologies
  • Experience with test case management and bug tracking tools
  • Basic knowledge of AWS infrastructure and cloud-based testing.
  • Strong focus on quality with a keen eye for detail, able to detect even small issues that may affect functionality or user experience.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
