As a Proposal Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we communicate our value proposition to clients while ensuring accuracy, compliance and professionalism. You will work in close collaboration with project directors and subject matter experts to develop proposals that not only meet but exceed client expectations. Over time, you will become increasingly responsible for taking ownership of proposal resources and evolving our approach to proposal development, but always with the necessary support and oversight from more experienced colleagues.

Example Responsibilities
The following are example responsibilities of this position and are, as such, not meant to be exhaustive, nor convey every responsibility that may vary over time, without changing the essence of this position:
- Conduct secondary research to understand client needs and project requirements. Gain a clear understanding of the situation, the clients business context and any complications that might hinder the achievement of project objectives
- Draft visually stimulating, thought-provoking PowerPoint slides with clear messaging and narrative while ensuring that proposals align with industry regulations, client requirements and compliance standards
- Ensure consistency in formatting, style and layout throughout the proposal, adhering to company guidelines or client specifications, ensuring clear, concise and persuasive content that highlights the organization's strengths, services and expertise
- Help develop and maintain proposal repository: Ensure development and maintenance of proposal templates and other resources
- Work closely with internal project team members (subject matter experts, project directors and other team members) to ensure the proposal content is accurate and relevant
- Handle multiple proposals simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely submission without compromising quality
Education, Experience, Knowledge & Other Skills
The following criteria outline the minimum hiring criteria for this position, unless otherwise stipulated below as "preferred," or "a plus."
Undergraduate or advanced degree in life sciences, data sciences, business or a related discipline, with 2 or more years of experience of working on consulting or CI projects (preferably with various types of life sciences clients), including of working on/supporting proposal development
Preferred: Experience of end-to-end proposal development for life sciences clients with a strong understanding of client needs
Preferred: Knowledge of the management consulting and/or life sciences industry
Strong proficiency in MS Office programs, particularly PowerPoint
Preferred: Expert-level proficiency
Proficiency in secondary research: Familiar with common data resources used for secondary research and demonstrated high attention-to-detail and quality
- Strong communication skills, especially written: Ability to articulate, context, insights and solutions in a coherent manner
- Collaboration and proactive attitude: Strong collaboration skills and proven ability to work well within teams. Track record of proactive communication in the work environment, including proactively seeking feedback to improve capabilities
- Time management and organization: Demonstrated ability to effectively turn around deliverables on time while maintaining high quality standards
- Achieving results: Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding assigned goals and objectives
