Proposal Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive proposals and presentations that align with brand guidelines and adhere to risk and compliance policies.
  • Collaborate with pursuit teams to craft foundational proposal drafts for NPPT drivers or manage full RFP responses end-to-end.
  • Leverage advanced Microsoft Office skills to enhance workflow, streamline formatting processes, and create efficiencies in NPPT production procedures.
  • Review and proofread proposals and presentations to ensure quality assurance standards are met and brand compliance is upheld.
  • Collaborate with knowledge management teams and content hubs to craft foundational drafts of new content requests and proposal template creations.
  • Maintain pursuit logs with key information, upload completed documents, and follow up with pursuit teams regarding outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: degree in business writing, journalism, communications, or related fields and/or certifications in proposal management (APMP, Shipley), project management.
  • Master level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong AP Style grammar and proofing knowledge and experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and teams while maintaining quality and required timelines.

Leadership Skills:

  • Ability to lead and direct groups of stakeholders in areas such as assigning, monitoring, reviewing progress and accuracy of work, directing efforts, and providing guidance on more complex issues.
  • Ability to effectively advise, interact, and collaborate with firm subject matter experts.
  • Ability to influence without authority and affect change.
  • Ability to work with individuals from multiple levels within the organization.
