Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Restaurant Catering Manager to lead our catering team in delivering exceptional events and experiences to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of catering operations, including event planning, menu development, staff supervision, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Event Planning:

  2. Coordinate with clients to plan and execute events, including weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings.

  3. Develop and implement event concepts, menus, and timelines.

  4. Menu Development:

  5. Create and update menus for events and functions.

  6. Source and select vendors for food, beverages, and supplies.

  7. Staff Supervision:

  8. Manage and supervise catering staff, including servers, bartenders, and cooks.

  9. Ensure staff are trained and knowledgeable about events, menus, and service standards.

  10. Customer Service:

  11. Provide exceptional customer service to clients and guests.

  12. Respond to client inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns.

  13. Operations Management:

  14. Manage event logistics, including setup, execution, and breakdown.

  15. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

  16. Financial Management:

  17. Manage event budgets and ensure profitability.

  18. Analyse financial reports and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field.

  2. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in catering management or a related field.

  3. Skills:

  4. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  5. Strong event planning and management skills.

  6. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.

  7. Financial management and budgeting skills.

  8. Certifications: Catering industry certifications, such as Certified Catering Manager (CCM), preferred.

Working Conditions:

  1. Hours: Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  2. Environment: Fast-paced catering environment, with frequent interaction with clients and staff.

  3. Travel: Occasional travel may be required for events or meetings.
