The Business Development Associate supports the growth of the steel structure business by generating leads, building client relationships, preparing basic proposals, and coordinating with internal teams. This role focuses on assisting senior BD staff, conducting market research, and ensuring smooth communication with clients and project teams.

Key Responsibilities1. Lead Generation & Market Research

  • Identify potential customers in industrial, commercial, and construction sectors.
  • Research upcoming projects related to steel structures, PEB (Pre-Engineered Buildings), and structural fabrication.
  • Maintain a database of leads, competitors, and market trends.

2. Client Coordination

  • Communicate with clients to understand basic requirements and project scope.
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and following up on inquiries.
  • Maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers.

3. Sales Support

  • Assist in preparing quotations, BOQs, pre-qualification documents, and technical proposals (under guidance).
  • Follow up on submitted proposals, tenders, and inquiries.
  • Support negotiations and contract preparation led by senior BD managers.

4. Internal Team Collaboration

  • Coordinate with estimation, engineering, and project teams to collect technical data and deliver accurate proposals.
  • Provide customer feedback to help improve products and services.

5. Administrative & Reporting Tasks

  • Prepare weekly and monthly BD activity reports.
  • Track project progress, pipeline status, client interactions, and follow-ups.
  • Maintain organized records of proposals, tenders, and correspondence.

Qualifications & Skills Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Structural preferred) or Business/Marketing.
  • 2-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
  • Experience in steel structures, PEB, construction materials, or fabrication is an advantage.

Technical Knowledge (Preferred)

  • Basic understanding of steel structure components, fabrication processes, and construction terms.
  • Ability to read simple drawings or BOQs (optional but a plus).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25, ₹42,598.42 per month
