It is expected that the role holder will most likely have the following qualifications and experience

  • Strong knowledge of SWIFT & NPP, NPP Payment Gateway application production support
  • Platform monitoring (splunk, app dynamics, Open Search etc)
  • Knowledge of Australian Payment landscape with SWIFT, NPP, RTGS, IPS Send/Receive, Cross border and Fast Payments.
  • Handling application deployments, upgrades, BCP exercises, BAU application support in production environment for Incident, change & Problem managements
  • Industry experience 5+ years (ideally financial technology)
  • Java application support (ideally in Payments Processing or Financial space)
  • Troubleshooting skills in API, microservice development and processing
  • Engineering CI/CD pipeline automation, tooling (Github, Jenkins, Harness, Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, ANT, Gradle) & Compliance as code experience advantageous
  • Serverless, microservice & container-based pattern development
  • Cloud provider experience in AWS or Azure and including trouble shooting advantageous
  • Platform automation tools (DB Management, harness, ansible, Jenkins, GITHUB, EKS/AKS Kubernetes)
  • Distributed, event driven systems and using messaging protocols; Apache Kafka, messaging systems such as IBM MQ experience advantageous
  • Messaging (ideally java MDB, IBM MQ infrastructure)
  • Tertiary degree qualified in computer science or similar discipline
