Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

  • Attend inpatient rounds and outpatient clinics.
  • Manage patients under supervision, including diagnosis, investigations, treatment planning, and follow-ups.
  • Perform and assist in bedside procedures like lumbar puncture, ascitic tap, central line insertion, etc.
  • Monitor and update patient records regularly.
  • Provide on-call/emergency coverage as per duty roster.

Academic Responsibilities:

  • Participate in academic activities such as case discussions, journal clubs, clinical meetings, and seminars.
  • Mentor and supervise junior residents and medical interns.
  • Contribute to departmental teaching programs and CME (Continuing Medical Education).

Administrative & Documentation:

  • Ensure timely documentation in medical records, discharge summaries, and consent forms.
  • Comply with hospital policies regarding infection control, patient confidentiality, and safety.
  • Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Research (if applicable):

  • Participate in ongoing departmental research projects.
  • Present papers or posters at conferences and publish in indexed journals, if possible.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Educational Qualification: MBBS with MD /DNB in General Medicine from an MCI/NMC recognized institution.
  • Registration: Valid registration with State Medical Council or NMC.
  • Experience: Preferably 03 years post-MD clinical experience; fresh MD graduates are also encouraged in many institutions.
