Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee the complete seed processing plant operations, ensure production efficiency, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end seed processing operations including cleaning, grading, treating, and packing.
  • Ensure production planning, timely order fulfillment, and zero deviations in quality.
  • Supervise plant staff, operators, and shift teams; ensure productivity and performance.
  • Monitor machine performance, maintenance schedules, and plant safety standards.
  • Coordinate with QC, production, logistics, and procurement teams.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, certification norms, and documentation.
  • Implement cost control measures, process improvements, and efficiency enhancements.
  • Track daily production, yield, wastage, and stock movement.
  • Maintain ERP/SAP-based plant operations and reporting.
  • Submit MIS reports, plant KPIs, and performance dashboards to management.
  • Manage plant operations, including production planning, quality control, and inventory management.
  • Oversee seed processing activities such as cleaning, grading, and packaging.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for agricultural products.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency in plant operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to plant maintenance and equipment upkeep.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 10-15 years of experience in seed processing or a related field (agriculture).
  • B.Sc (Agriculture), MS/M.Sc(Science) degree from a recognized university.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural practices, crop science, and horticulture principles.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale industrial projects involving complex machinery operation.
