Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Quality Controller who has handled the complete quality cycle—from proofreading, review stages, to final/printer stage. The ideal candidate should possess strong editorial skills, attention to detail, and experience in ensuring high-quality book production deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end quality control for book production, including:

  • Proofreading

  • Review/Revision stages
  • Final QC and Printer-stage checks
  • Perform detailed quality checks on layout, formatting, and content accuracy.
  • Ensure files comply with publisher guidelines and project specifications.
  • Verify tables, figures, references, and metadata.
  • Identify errors, track deviations, and ensure timely corrections.
  • Coordinate with typesetting, editorial, and production teams to resolve issues.
  • Maintain quality reports and support process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in quality control for book publishing or typesetting projects.
  • Hands-on experience handling proofreading to printer-stage QC.
  • Strong knowledge of publishing workflows and style guidelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong language proficiency.
  • Familiarity with PDFs, MS Word, XML, and ePub validation tools (added advantage).
