Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced QA lead with strong expertise in Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript). You will lead automation strategy, ensure quality excellence, and mentor QA engineers while working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/DevOps environment. This role has a clear path to Technical Lead responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, and maintenance of Playwright-based automation frameworks.
  • Own UI & API automation strategy and drive adoption across projects.
  • Define QA best practices, coding standards, and automation guidelines.
  • Mentor junior/mid-level QA engineers in automation and testing practices.
  • Conduct test planning, estimation, and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with Dev, Product, and DevOps teams for high-quality releases.
  • Implement & optimize CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab).
  • Ensure test scripts are version-controlled and integrated into build pipelines.

Required Skills

  • 6–8+ years in testing, with 3+ years in Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Strong in test automation framework design (UI & API).
  • Hands-on with BDD/TDD (Cucumber, Jest, Mocha).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and Git workflows.
  • Familiar with test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail).
  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred

  • API testing (Postman, Rest Assured).
  • Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), Docker/Kubernetes.
