Job Description – Trading Application Support (Omnesys/NEST)

Experience: 4 – 7 years in Trading Application Support (preferably Omnesys/NEST)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform BOD (Beginning of Day) and EOD (End of Day) activities for trading applications including Omnesys/NEST and other trading platforms.
  • Support installation, configuration, and end-to-end setup of trading applications (e.g., NEAT, BOLT, Omnesys/NEST).
  • Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth functioning of trading systems.
  • Provide techno-functional support to front-office users, dealers, and other stakeholders by understanding application functionalities and resolving queries.
  • Coordinate with exchanges and internal teams during DR drills, mock trading sessions, and exchange-mandated activities.
  • Monitor and maintain CTCL compliance parameters, ensuring timely audits and reporting.
  • Handle application deployments, upgrades, and testing in UAT and production environments.
  • Manage cron jobs, backend processes, SQL queries, and log monitoring for issue resolution.
  • Act as a liaison between dealers/users and software vendors, ensuring timely closure of application and trading-related issues.
  • Prepare and maintain SOPs, deployment reports, and audit documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Omnesys/NEST trading application (BOD, EOD, troubleshooting, and support).
  • Knowledge of NEAT, BOLT setup and installation preferred.
  • Strong understanding of front-office trading operations and related workflows.
  • Exposure to exchange connectivity (NSE, BSE, NSE FO) and participation in exchange mock sessions.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Linux commands, cron jobs, and basic scripting.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple teams including dealers, RMS, compliance, and IT infrastructure.
  • Experience in CTCL monitoring, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
