Role & responsibilities

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. SAP S/4HANA Security Consultant in the utility business sector plays a crucial role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of SAP S/4HANA systems, protecting sensitive information and supporting regulatory compliance.

  • Security Design and Implementation: Develop and implement security strategies for SAP S/4HANA in the utility business domain. Design and configure role-based access controls, authorizations, and authentication mechanisms to safeguard critical business data and processes.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate security risks associated with SAP S/4HANA implementations in the utility sector. Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and recommend and implement security enhancements.
  • User Lifecycle Management: Implement and manage user provisioning and de-provisioning processes. Define and enforce policies for user access, ensuring compliance with business rules and security policies.
  • Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Set up and maintain security monitoring tools to detect and respond to security incidents promptly. Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and address security breaches or vulnerabilities.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with business stakeholders, SAP functional consultants, and IT teams to understand security requirements. Translate business needs into effective security solutions within the SAP S/4HANA landscape.
  • Security Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver security training programs for SAP S/4HANA users within the utility business. Raise awareness about security best practices and policies.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to SAP S/4HANA security configurations, policies, and procedures. Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Security Patch Management: Coordinate and manage the application of security patches and updates for SAP S/4HANA systems. Keep abreast of SAP security notes and advisories.
  • Collaboration with External Partners: Work with external partners, vendors, and service providers to ensure secure integration points and data exchanges in the utility business ecosystem.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Proven experience as an SAP S/4HANA Security Consultant, with specific experience in the utility business sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP Governance Risk and Compliance concepts, Processes including SAP Fiori and SAP HANA database security.
  • Hands on experience in processes of SAP GRC Access Control used across various Line of Business (LOBs) and complex SAP environments.
  • Experience in audit coordination and remediation of audit observations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

SAP certifications in relevant security areas are desirable.
