Senior Legal Associate Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading efforts in building and maintaining relationships with investors, conducting due diligence, structuring deals, and strategizing Capital Markets objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage investor interactions and confidently address queries related to financials, ratios, and business performance
  • Develop and execute outreach plans to potential debt investors (Private Banks, PSUs, NBFCs, Venture Debt Funds, HNIs)
  • Own the full lifecycle of a deal — from sourcing to final disbursement and ongoing relationship management
  • Prepare and present data for due diligence (DD), coordinate with internal teams to resolve investor queries
  • Finalize legal agreements in collaboration with legal counsel
  • Monitor key financial metrics such as collection efficiency, capital adequacy, and portfolio performance

Requirements:

  • CA or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute
  • ~2–5 years of relevant experience in a fintech NBFC, NBFC, or venture debt fund environment
  • ~ Strong grasp of capital market operations and regulatory considerations
  • ~ Confident in handling investor calls independently
  • ~ Proficient in Excel and financial modeling; familiarity with tools like SQL or Python is a plus
