
Global Fundraising Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an exceptional Global Fundraising Manager to spearhead our international capital acquisition initiatives and strategic partnership development. This senior-level position requires a dynamic professional with extensive experience in raising external funding from global markets, building strategic alliances, attracting top-tier talent, and generating high-value leads for new business partnerships. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in securing the financial resources necessary to fuel our expansion and operational excellence across international mining ventures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising & Capital Acquisition
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure external funding from international investors, including private equity firms, sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors, and strategic partners
- Prepare compelling investment proposals, financial presentations, and due diligence materials for potential investors and funding sources
- Manage the entire fundraising lifecycle from initial investor identification through deal closure and post-investment relationship management
- Establish and maintain relationships with investment banks, financial advisors, and capital market intermediaries globally
- Monitor global capital markets and identify emerging funding opportunities and trends relevant to the mining and minerals sector
Strategic Alliance Development
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate strategic partnerships with international mining companies, technology providers, and industry stakeholders
- Structure joint ventures, strategic alliances, and collaborative agreements that enhance operational capabilities and market reach
- Develop partnership frameworks that align with corporate strategic objectives and create mutual value for all parties
- Manage ongoing strategic relationships and ensure successful implementation of partnership agreements
Talent Acquisition & Network Development
- Build and leverage professional networks to attract exceptional talent in mining, finance, technology, and strategic roles
- Collaborate with executive search firms and professional organizations to identify and recruit industry leaders
- Develop talent acquisition strategies that support international expansion and operational requirements
- Serve as a brand ambassador for the organization at industry conferences, networking events, and professional forums
Lead Generation & Business Development
- Generate high-quality leads for new mining opportunities, acquisition targets, and strategic partnerships
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities in global mining markets
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of potential partners, investors, and business opportunities
- Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate the commercial viability of new opportunities and partnerships
Relationship Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing investors, partners, and key stakeholders
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on fundraising activities and market developments
- Represent the company at industry events, investor conferences, and international mining exhibitions
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, and technical teams to ensure all activities meet regulatory requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in fundraising, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development, with specific experience in the mining or natural resources sector
- Proven track record of successfully raising significant capital (minimum $100M+) from international sources
- Deep understanding of global capital markets, investment structures, and funding mechanisms
- Extensive network of contacts within the international mining industry, investment community, and strategic partners
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with proficiency in valuation methodologies
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple time zones and international cultures
- Willingness to travel internationally (50%+ travel requirement)
- Fluency in English; additional languages are highly advantageous
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CFA, CPA, or other relevant professional certifications
- Experience with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investment frameworks and sustainable mining practices
- Previous experience in emerging markets and developing economy investments
- Background in geological or mining engineering with commercial application
- Demonstrated success in cross-border M&A transactions
- Experience with alternative funding mechanisms including project finance, development finance institutions, and commodity financing
- Strong understanding of regulatory environments across multiple jurisdictions
- Track record of building and leading high-performing international teams
