About the Opportunity
A fast-growing organization in the healthcare services sector focused on tertiary and specialty eye care is hiring an on-site Hospital Manager for its Ambawadi, Ahmedabad facility. This role will lead day-to-day operations of an ophthalmology hospital, ensuring high-quality clinical services, regulatory compliance, and strong financial performance while delivering excellent patient experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end hospital operations for the Ambawadi eye hospital: OPD, IPD, minor/major OT scheduling, diagnostics, and outpatient services.
- Manage finance and administration activities including billing, revenue cycle, cost control, budgeting, and vendor contracts to meet financial targets.
- Ensure clinical quality and compliance with regulatory standards (NABH/other local requirements); drive internal audits and corrective action plans.
- Lead staffing, rostering, performance management, and training for clinical and non-clinical teams to maintain service SLAs and patient satisfaction metrics.
- Implement and maintain operational processes: inventory & procurement, equipment maintenance, sterilization workflows, and EMR/HIS data integrity.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patient grievances, community outreach, and local stakeholder relationships to grow referral pipelines.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven experience managing hospital operations or a specialty clinic, preferably in ophthalmology or allied specialties.
- Strong knowledge of Hospital Information System (HIS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) workflows.
- Experience with revenue cycle management, billing systems, and P&L responsibility.
- Familiarity with NABH standards, clinical governance, and quality assurance processes.
- Hands-on experience in inventory/procurement management and OT/surgical scheduling.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, implement SOPs, and drive process improvements.
Preferred
- Prior exposure to tertiary eye care centers or multi-specialty hospitals with ophthalmic services.
- Working knowledge of local regulatory and licensing requirements for healthcare facilities in India.
- Familiarity with patient experience frameworks and CRM tools for outpatient engagement.
