Job Summary:

WOG Technologies is seeking an experienced Process and Technology Consultant Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) to drive the design, engineering, and technological advancements of CBG projects. This role will focus on process optimization, engineering design reviews, technology evaluation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The consultant will play a key role in assessing and improving CBG project efficiencies while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process & Technology Development for CBG Projects

  • Develop, review, and optimize process designs for CBG production, purification, and upgrading systems.
  • Evaluate new technologies for biogas purification, compression, and storage to improve efficiency and sustainability.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and techno-economic analyses for CBG plants.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations in process design.

2. Engineering Design & Technical Review

  • Lead and review engineering designs, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for CBG facilities.
  • Analyze and approve technical specifications for key equipment like digesters, scrubbers, compressors, and gas storage units.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure/improve system integration and operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process-related challenges during project execution.

3. Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs)/metrics to assess CBG plant efficiency and reliability.
  • Analyze operational data and recommend improvements in process control and energy efficiency.
  • Support commissioning and start-up activities, ensuring alignment with design intent.
  • Conduct process audits and suggest modifications to optimize gas yield and quality.

4. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

  • Ensure CBG project compliance with national and international environmental, safety, and quality standards.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies for necessary approvals and certifications.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and technological advancements.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in process design, technology evaluation, and engineering of CBG or biogas projects.
  • Strong expertise in anaerobic digestion, gas upgrading, and CBG plant design.
  • Hands-on experience with PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and HAZOP studies.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software and engineering tools.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and sustainability practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
