Role Overview:

The Government Business / PSU Relationship Manager is responsible for acquiring, managing, and nurturing relationships with government institutions, public sector undertakings (PSUs), and other public health schemes (CGHS, ECHS, ESIC, State Govt Panels, etc.). The role involves handling empanelment, patient facilitation, billing, and claim coordination for beneficiaries under these schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

Government & PSU Client Management

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key officials in government bodies, PSUs, defense institutions, and other public health organizations.
  • Act as a single point of contact for all PSU and government-related patient cases.
  • Regularly meet and follow up with client organizations to address service issues, policy updates, or process changes.

Empanelment & Agreement Management

  • Facilitate empanelment with various government panels and PSUs (e.g., CGHS, ECHS, ESIC, State Health Schemes, Railways, etc.).
  • Manage MoUs, rate negotiations, and contract renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with terms of agreement and service-level obligations.

Billing & Claims Settlement

  • Ensure proper billing as per agreed package rates with the government/PSU.
  • Oversee claim preparation, documentation, submission, and tracking.
  • Coordinate with finance team for timely realization of dues and follow-up on outstanding payments.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare and maintain MIS reports on government/PSU business: patient volume, revenue, outstanding claims, etc.
  • Analyze trends and suggest improvements in service delivery to public sector clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Public Relations, or relevant field.
  • Preferred: Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA), MBA, or PG Diploma in Healthcare Management.
  • Experience: 4 to 7 years of experience in healthcare business development, TPA/government liaison, or PSU relationship management.

Key Skills:

  • Strong communication and liaisoning skills with government/public sector clients
  • Deep understanding of PSU/Govt. health schemes (CGHS, ECHS, ESIC, Ayushman Bharat, etc.)
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing and insurance practices
  • Excellent negotiation and follow-up skills
  • Good with reporting tools, Excel, and hospital software systems

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in a hospitals government/PSU desk or healthcare marketing role
  • Previous work with empanelment and tendering processes
  • Familiarity with public health insurance schemes and PSU protocols
