₹2,00,000 - ₹8,00,000 a year We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Taxation Specialist to manage comprehensive Australian tax compliance and accounting functions for a varied client portfolio. The role involves preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring adherence to Australian Taxation Office (ATO) standards, and providing clients with accurate financial and advisory insights.
Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end preparation and lodgement of tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and companies in accordance with Australian tax laws. Review general ledgers, trial balances, and supporting schedules to ensure data accuracy and compliance. Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), and other periodic tax filings. Maintain accurate bookkeeping and reconciliation of financial accounts using Xero and MYOB. Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring alignment with Australian accounting standards. Support calculations for family trust distributions, capital gains, GST, FBT, and Division 7A matters. Liaise with clients to resolve queries, clarify documentation requirements, and provide proactive tax advisory support. Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting workflows and compliance efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (CA/CPA qualification preferred). Minimum 3+ years of experience in Australian taxation and compliance, ideally in a public accounting or outsourcing firm. Strong working knowledge of Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regulations and reporting standards. Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, and Microsoft Excel. Experience handling multiple client accounts and meeting strict deadlines.
