Roles and responsibility:

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) in compliance with Australian taxation laws.
  • Handle payroll processing, including Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
  • Conduct GST reconciliation and ensure correct reporting.
  • Prepare and lodge individual and small business tax returns.
  • Collaborate with onshore accountants to ensure accurate tax working.
  • Stay updated on changes to Australian tax laws and regulations

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in accounting software in MYOB, Xero, QuickBook, XPM, Logitax
  • Add on Software Hubdoc, esybills & Dext.
  • Strong knowledge of GST, BAS, and payroll regulations in Australia.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with ATO portal and lodging returns online.
