Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utility Systems Management

  2. Oversee operation and maintenance of all utility systems:

  3. Boilers and steam systems

  4. Chillers and cooling towers
  5. Compressed air systems
  6. HVAC systems
  7. Power distribution (HT/LT panels, DG sets)
  8. Water treatment (RO, softeners)

  9. Effluent & sewage treatment plants (ETP/STP)

  10. Ensure uninterrupted supply to the plant within required parameters (pressure, temperature, purity, etc.)

  11. Operations & Maintenance

  12. Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules

  13. Minimize equipment downtime and energy losses

  14. Root cause analysis and corrective actions for breakdowns

  15. Energy Management

  16. Monitor and control energy consumption (electricity, gas, water)

  17. Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability projects

  18. Drive ISO if applicable)

  19. Project Execution

  20. Lead utility-related projects (e.g., capacity expansion, new installations)

  21. Vendor selection, contract management, and commissioning

  22. Coordination with consultants and EPC contractors

  23. Regulatory & Compliance

  24. Ensure statutory compliance with safety, environmental, and energy regulations

  25. Liaison with government bodies (Pollution Control Board, Electrical Inspectorate, etc.)

  26. Maintain all documentation, permits, and records

  27. Team Leadership

  28. Lead, train, and develop a team of engineers, technicians, and operators

  29. Manpower planning, shift management, and performance monitoring

  30. Budgeting & Cost Control

  31. Prepare and manage utility OPEX and CAPEX budgets

  32. Optimize operating costs through efficient practices
