Roles and Responsibilities :
1.Product Planning & Menu Development
- Design and update a wide range of bakery products (e.g., breads, pastries, muffins, cookies, croissants, cakes).
- Innovate seasonal or themed items (e.g., movie-themed cupcakes for a cinema).
Ensure product consistency, flavour profile, and visual appeal.
Baking & Preparation
Supervise and participate in baking processes including mixing, kneading, proofing, shaping, baking, and decorating.
- Ensure proper temperature, timing, and method are followed for each item.
Implement standard recipes while allowing for innovation where applicable.
Quality Control
Conduct regular taste and presentation checks.
- Monitor freshness of all baked goods.
Maintain high standards of food safety and quality.
Inventory & Procurement
Manage inventory of baking ingredients (flour, butter, chocolate, yeast, etc.).
- Forecast demand and place orders accordingly.
Minimise waste and track usage of raw materials.
Team Supervision & Training
Lead a team of junior bakers, assistants, or pastry cooks.
- Train team members on recipes, baking techniques, and hygiene standards.
Assign tasks and ensure timely execution of baking schedules.
Hygiene, Safety & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with FSSAI or local food safety regulations.
- Monitor cleanliness of the bakery equipment and workspace.
- Enforce proper handling and storage of ingredients.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Bakery & Patisserie / Hotel Management
- 5–10 years of experience in commercial baking, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership
