Presales Engineer ELV, Physical Security & Networking
Location: Bangalore
We are seeking a Presales Engineer with expertise in ELV (Extra-Low Voltage), Physical Security, and Networking solutions to join our team in Bangalore. This role is essential in supporting the sales function by delivering technical solutions, network architecture design, and proposal development that align with customer requirements. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in CCTV, access control, fire alarm systems, and network infrastructure, with strong working knowledge of L1/L2 networking, CCNA, and CCNP concepts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Solution Design & Proposal Development
- Analyze customer requirements and design custom technical solutions for ELV, security, and networking systems.
- Create comprehensive technical proposals, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and network/system architecture diagrams.
- Ensure all proposed solutions adhere to technical best practices, industry standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Integrate physical security systems with robust network infrastructure for scalable, secure deployments.
2. Client Engagement & Presentations
- Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demos to clients, both virtually and on-site.
- Provide pre-sales consultation and technical guidance, addressing queries with confidence and clarity.
- Work with sales teams to define technical requirements and project scope.
- Develop long-term client relationships through technical trust and proactive engagement.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with sales, project execution, and technical teams to ensure proposed solutions are practical and executable.
- Assist in proof-of-concept setups, pilot testing, and solution validation.
- Support commercial teams with networking insights and ELV integration expertise to facilitate deal closures.
4. Industry & Technology Awareness
- Stay updated with latest trends in ELV, security systems, and network infrastructure.
- Benchmark solutions against market standards and recommend enhancements.
- Identify and suggest technological upgrades to improve overall solution effectiveness.
Qualifications & Skills
Technical Skills & Expertise
Strong knowledge in ELV & Physical Security Systems, such as:
CCTV Surveillance Systems
- Access Control & Biometric Systems
Fire Alarm & Building Automation Systems
In-depth understanding of networking concepts including:
LAN/WAN, Switching, Routing (L1 & L2)
- Firewall and IP addressing schemes
System Integration & Network Security
Hands-on experience or certification in:
CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
Ability to troubleshoot and design secure, scalable network solutions for integrated security systems.
Soft Skills & Experience
- Experience: 4+ years in presales, technical support, or network/system engineering, particularly within ELV and security domains.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges creatively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
- A proactive and customer-focused approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
