Key Responsibilities

Import & Export Documentation

  • Responsible for all
    Import and Export documents
    , including
    pre-shipment and post-shipment documentation
    for exports and
    customs clearance
    for imports.
  • Prepare and supervise
    Import and Export (Pre-shipment & Post-shipment)
    documents in compliance with EXIM policies.
  • Coordinate with CHA, shipping lines, and forwarders for shipment handling, BL release, and customs clearance.
  • Handle independently all
    import clearance activities
    with logistics partners and CHA.
  • Ensure timely dispatch of all
    original import documents
    to CHA and monitor clearance timelines to avoid detention or demurrage charges.
  • Utilize
    FTP Trade Agreements
    (such as CEPA, CECA, ASEAN, etc.) to gain cost and time advantages.

Logistics & Coordination

  • Manage
    export, logistics, and documentation coordination
    with plants for containerized and other dispatches.
  • Arrange containers for factory stuffing and provide necessary instructions to forwarders.
  • Obtain and evaluate
    freight quotations
    from forwarders and prepare
    RFQs
    for shipment finalization.
  • Follow up with CHA, forwarders, shipping lines, train operators, and other logistics partners for smooth operations.
  • Handle
    global logistics integration projects
    , including shipping validation, IT system coordination, and trade compliance.

Operational Management

  • Oversee
    inbound and outbound logistics operations
    , including transportation, inventory control, warehousing, and safety compliance.
  • Assess and recommend optimal
    shipping methods, carriers, routing, and frequencies
    to meet transportation and cost objectives.
  • Negotiate competitive freight rates and recommend the right carrier base for business needs.
  • Review and process shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, and orders to ensure timely shipment schedules.
  • Determine
    space requirements and routing
    for shipments in accordance with legal load limits and schedule constraints.
  • Monitor all import/export activities for
    regulatory and legal compliance
    .
  • Maintain shipment records, documentation control, and clearance bill passing.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with
    Sales, Order Management, Accounting, and Planning
    departments to align logistics processes with overall business operations.
  • Ensure efficient information flow and documentation sharing among all stakeholders.
  • Perform
    total landed cost analysis
    and provide regular updates to management.
  • Arrange customs seals from authorized agencies for export containers and ensure timely movement from ICD to plant.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration
    , or a related field.
  • Master's degree
    preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum
    17 years
    of experience in
    international logistics operations
    with strong focus on
    export-import compliance
    .

Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of
    international trade regulations, customs procedures, EXIM policies
    , and FTP trade agreements.
