Project Associate – Nutrition

The role of Nutrition expert is ensuring the nutrition relevant deliverables with a special focus on reduction of malnutrition through proposed activities in the work area.

Responsibilities

· Planning and conducting training on nutrition for staff and Anganwadi workers.

· Ensuring conduction of CMAM camps as per the target in field.

· Ensuring conduction of Positive Deviance (PD) hearth sessions as per the target in field.

· Planning and purchasing nutrition related material and ensuring their supply in field.

· Planning and ensuring of development of nutrition gardens.

· Planning and ensuring community events such as, Anganwadi day celebration, nutrition day celebration etc.

· Collecting, analyzing, follow up and recording of data of CMAM camps, kitchen garden, MUAC, Anthropometric measurement, malnourished children and feedback on nutrition activities.

· Documentation, report writing and preparation of presentation on all the nutrition activities.

· Random checks of the information and data collected by the team on nutrition.

· Attending workshop, conferences relevant to project and preparing summarize report.

· Preparing monthly case studies, preparing nutrition articles for news letter.

· Supporting other teammates as and when required.

· Requires frequent filed visits.

· Ability to work pro-actively and be a team member.

Skills & Interests

· 4-5 Years experience of working in community development.

· The ability to communicate easily and effectively with a wide range of people and organizations.

· The ability to produce good quality written reports and materials.

· The ability to grasp and assimilate new information quickly.

· The ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team and to give leadership and direction to others.

· The ability to handle large set of data effectively.

· The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Qualification

Post Graduate in the field of Nutrition.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From ₹500,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 per week
