Quality Analyst / Software QA Engineer

Location: Chennai (Full-Time, On-site)

Industry: Information Technology / Software Development

Experience: 3-6 years

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Quality Analyst (QA) with 36 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.

    • Perform manual and automated testing to identify, document, and track defects.

    • Ensure all deliverables meet functional, performance, security, and usability standards.

    • Collaborate closely with the development team to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.

    • Perform regression testing, smoke testing, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).

    • Use tools such as JIRA, Postman, Selenium, TestNG, or similar QA tools for reporting and automation.

    • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and quality reviews within an Agile environment.

    • Continuously contribute to improving QA processes and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–4 years of hands-on experience in software testing (manual and/or automation).

• Experience with Selenium / Cypress / Playwright or equivalent automation frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.

• Familiarity with API testing (using Postman or similar tools).

• Good understanding of database testing (SQL knowledge preferred).

• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience working with international clients, especially UK-based clients.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are an added advantage.
