1. Product Formulation

  • Develop and optimize formulations for personal care and cosmetic products aligned with clean and natural philosophy
  • Select and evaluate raw materials, essential oils, and botanical extracts for efficacy and safety
  • Maintain documentation including formulation sheets, stability studies, trial logs, and safety assessments
  • Work closely with R&D and procurement to ensure scalability and cost-effectiveness of formulations
  • Conduct pilot and scale-up batches, coordinating with production teams

2. Regulatory Compliance (Domestic & International)

  • Ensure all products comply with Indian (BIS, FSSAI, CDSCO) and international regulations (EU, GCC, US FDA as applicable)
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for product registration, licensing, and ingredient approvals
  • Review packaging labels to ensure compliance with ingredient disclosures, claims, and warnings
  • Coordinate with legal and quality control teams for audits and inspections

3. Claims Validation & Clinical Testing

  • Support in planning and reviewing efficacy studies, dermatological testing, and stability trials
  • Collaborate with third-party labs for clinical trials, safety assessments, and documentation of results
  • Validate marketing claims based on scientific evidence, formulation data, and test results
  • Review and organize Double Blind Placebo and other efficacy test results, maintaining detailed reports for internal review and external audits.
  • Track and document clinical tests conducted in partnership with third-party organizations.

4. Ingredient & Safety Database Maintenance

  • Maintain up-to-date ingredient dossiers, MSDS, CoA, and safety certificates
  • Track banned/restricted substances across regions and update internal systems accordingly
  • Keep informed on changes in cosmetic regulatory frameworks worldwide

5. Packaging Safety & Labelling:

  • Assist in verifying the compliance of product packaging with safety standards and labeling regulations in all relevant markets.
  • Check that claims made on packaging are compliant with regulatory standards and supported by research or testing results.

6. Documentation & Reporting:

  • Help prepare compliance reports and regulatory submissions.
  • Ensure all required documentation is updated, organized, and easily accessible for audit and internal tracking purposes.

Requirements

  • B.Pharm / M.Sc in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in product formulation and compliance for beauty/personal care products
