Job Summary
As a Business Associate, you will be at the forefront of driving our growth strategy, building client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities in the Biopharma sector. The role involves global exposure, requiring flexible working hours to accommodate international clients, and international travel. You will be expected to bring in new business.
Key Responsibilities
● Client Outreach and Lead Generation:
o Proactively identify, engage, and convert prospective clients using multiple channels such as email campaigns, phone calls, and networking.
o Leverage existing networks and build new relationships to create business opportunities.
● Market Analysis and Strategic Development:
o Conduct market research to identify trends, growth areas, and competitive insights.
o Develop and implement innovative strategies to capitalize on new market opportunities.
● Client Relationship Management:
o Build strong, lasting relationships with clients by ensuring satisfaction and addressing their needs proactively.
o Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering trust and collaboration.
● Business Development and Negotiation:
o Drive discussions on business opportunities with clients, negotiating terms, and securing contracts.
o Represent the company in domestic and international meetings and events to strengthen the brand.
● Collaborative Engagement:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams to align client needs with company goals.
o Provide insights and feedback to internal teams to enhance service offerings and client experiences.
● Flexibility and Commitment:
o Adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate global clients, including weekends and odd hours.
o This role will require travel to US and EU to meet customers and bring in new business.
● Experience:
o At least 5 years of proven experience in international business development, client relationship management, or a similar role in the biopharma industry.
o Knowledge and experience of working in the biopharma industry.
● Skills:
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on engaging with European and US clients.
o Excellent negotiation and sales skills.
o Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify and seize new business opportunities.
o Self-driven, motivated, and ambitious with a commitment to flexible working hours.
● Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology (mandatory).
o Advanced degrees in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields are preferred but optional.
o Experience studying or working in Europe or the US is highly desirable.
o Knowledge of international travel and cultural exposure is a MUST.
o A good understanding of international clients, particularly US and Europe, with the ability to anticipate and address their specific needs.
