Job Summary:
The Head Chef will lead the kitchen operations of Ranga Residency, overseeing menu planning, food preparation, quality control, and team management. This role requires expertise in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisines (South Indian, North Indian, and Continental preferred), with strong leadership to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Menu Planning & Development Design innovative veg and non-veg menus with seasonal updates. Introduce signature dishes to strengthen the restaurant's brand. Ensure menus cater to customer preferences and market trends. Kitchen Operations Supervise daily cooking and food preparation activities. Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards as per FSSAI regulations. Manage food costing, portion control, and inventory to reduce wastage. Team Management Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and helpers. Foster teamwork and discipline within the kitchen environment. Schedule shifts to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours. Quality & Customer Satisfaction Ensure consistent taste, presentation, and quality of all dishes. Address customer feedback and implement improvements. Collaborate with management to design food promotions and events. Financial & Operational Control Control kitchen budgets, food costs, and supplier negotiations. Maintain stock levels and manage vendor relationships. Optimize operations to increase efficiency and profitability. Qualifications & Skills: Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts. Minimum 5–10 years of experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a reputed restaurant or hotel. Expertise in South Indian, North Indian, Chinese, and Continental cuisines (veg & non-veg). Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and FSSAI standards. Ability to work under pressure and manage a fast-paced kitchen.
