Job Description:

Position: Senior Account Manager

Location: Chennai (Nungambakkam)

Industry Type: Lead Manufacturer

Preferred Male Candidate

Experience: Must have a corporate exposure in manufacturing background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AR, AP, general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Maintain accounting records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Supervise and review work of accounts and finance team members
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets and forecasts
  • Monitor budget performance and analyze variances
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
  • Assist management with cost control and profitability improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities
  • Manage tax filings, audits, and statutory reporting
  • Ensure internal controls and financial policies are followed
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships
  • Monitor financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Oversee credit control and debt management
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management
  • Support strategic planning and business growth initiatives
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate finance and accounts staff
  • Improve financial systems, processes, and controls

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proven experience in a senior accounts or finance management role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial regulations
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software, Tally Prime, ERP systems, and MS Excel
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
