About the Role
We are a fast-growing startup looking for a dynamic Finance Owner who can independently manage our entire finance and accounts function. This is a standalone role — you will be responsible for everything from day-to-day accounting to finalizing P&L and Balance Sheet, and liaising with our auditors.
You will work closely with the leadership team to ensure our financial operations are smooth, compliant, and well-aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Accounting: Manage all bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L statements, Balance Sheet, and cash flow reports.
- Compliance & Taxation: Handle GST, TDS, PF/ESI, Income Tax filings, and ensure statutory compliance.
- Audit Coordination: Work with external auditors to ensure timely completion of statutory audits.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support management in preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Payroll Management: Oversee monthly payroll, employee reimbursements, and related compliances.
- Process Improvement: Implement efficient accounting processes, controls, and reporting systems.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor receivables, payables, and working capital requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (CA Inter / CMA preferred, but not mandatory).
- 3–7 years of hands-on experience in accounting and finance.
- Proficiency in Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks. Preferred in Zoho Books.
- Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory compliances.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
