About the Role:

The role of the Asset Management Analyst will have a strong understanding of ITAM principles and philosophy. This role will have responsibilities within the lifecycle of all corporate-owned IT assets (software, services, laptops, desktops, etc.) in accordance with best practices and internal processes and procedures in a high-volume organization.

What You'll Do:

• As an ITAM teammate, you will promote and advocate the value of ITAM to organizational leaders which includes developing and promoting effective ITAM strategies, policy, approaches, and practices across the full range of IT assets used within the organization
• Gather data on and provide analysis of all activities that have an impact on the value, cost, and risk of IT assets. Provide oversight and guidance for software asset management, including analyzing usage and providing recommendations for optimizing and ensuring compliance with terms defined by the partner and associated contract
• Work with Procurement and other internal departments to structure and negotiate terms and licensing agreements with outside suppliers to obtain the required products that meet business requirements at the most cost-effective terms
• Provide input to IT for budgeting with regards to assets annual costs including maintenance
• Provide ITAM leadership in managing physical assets in support of organizational lifecycle management process
• Work within the IT asset management system to monitor asset lifecycle and inventory and provide recommendations to improve efficiency
• Promote effective ITAM strategies, policy, approaches, and practices across the full range of IT assets used within the organization
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business or Computer Science.
• Five or more years of experience.
• Deep understanding of the IT asset life cycle, best practice governance, tools, and services.
• Experience developing and implementing policy, process, and procedures.
• Demonstrated understanding of licensing, subscription, and consumption models.
• Effective at engaging with sourcing, procurement, vendor management, legal, tax, and accounting advisors for additional information
• Proven skills in data processing, analysis and quality management.

Bonus Points:

• IAITAM certified as IT Asset Manager (or comparable certification).
• Experience utilizing ServiceNow, Software Asset Management, Discovery, and Contracts modules.
• ITIL certification
• ServiceNow SAM and HAM Pro experience
