Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Design Lead for an on-site, full-time role based in Bengaluru. The Physical Design Lead will oversee all aspects of physical design, including floor planning, placement, routing, and signoff. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring design quality and performance, and managing the physical design team to deliver projects within timelines and specifications. The role will involve mentoring junior team members, developing innovative physical design methodologies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in physical design processes such as floor planning, placement, routing, and optimization
  • Proficiency with design and verification tools like Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics
  • Strong understanding of timing analysis, signal integrity, DRC, LVS, and power analysis methodologies
  • Experience in leading and managing a team, with strong project management and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or TCL for automation purposes
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
  • Relevant work experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
