Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior-level Physical Design Head for our Bengaluru location. This is a full-time role where you will be pivotal in the design and development of our semiconductor products. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in physical design and a deep understanding of leading-edge technologies in the semiconductor industry. This role requires advanced technical skills and leadership ability to drive innovation in our design processes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience with RTL to GDSII flow, ensuring efficient and successful design projects (Mandatory skill).
  • Expertise in ECO Implementation, optimizing existing designs with necessary changes (Mandatory skill).
  • Proficient in Physical Verification, including DRC and LVS techniques, to ensure design robustness (Mandatory skill).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of VLSI design principles, enhancing the quality and performance of semiconductor products.
  • Experience with Synopsys IC Compiler, utilizing its advanced features for effective design implementation.
  • Proficiency in Cadence Innovus, leveraging its capabilities for physical design tasks to achieve high-quality results.
  • Strong background in Static Timing Analysis (STA), ensuring design timing specifications are met with precision.
  • Familiar with Design for Testability (DFT) concepts to ensure ease of testing and validation of designs post-production.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the physical design team in projects from RTL to GDSII, ensuring high-quality designs ready for manufacturing.
  • Oversee the implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECO) to improve designs and meet client specifications effectively.
  • Conduct thorough Physical Verification, utilizing DRC and LVS methods to achieve design compliance and robustness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on design goals and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive innovation in VLSI design methodologies and processes to improve efficiency and product performance.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on technical challenges and professional growth in semiconductor design.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends to ensure continuous improvement and competitive advantage.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders for successful project execution and delivery.
