Job Title: Sales Analytics Manager

Function: Analytics & Insights

Experience: 5- 8 years in FMCG sales analytics

Reports to: Head Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) and Analytics

About the Role

Were looking for a sharp, data-driven Sales Analytics Manager to join our CMI & Analytics team in Gurugram. In this cross-functional role, you will partner closely with the Sales Head and Sales Leadership Team to deliver actionable insights that drive commercial strategy, enhance sales performance, and unlock growth across our FMCG portfolio.

While you will be deeply embedded in sales decision-making, you will report into the Head of CMI & Analytics, ensuring analytical rigor, objectivity, and alignment with broader data strategy and business intelligence frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales Performance Tracking & Reporting (Primary / Secondary / Tertiary)

  2. Analyze and harmonize data across DMS, CRM, ERP, and syndicated sources (e.g., NielsenIQ, Kantar).

  3. Build interactive dashboards (Power BI/Tableau/Excel) to track:
  4. SKU-level, channel-wise, and regional sales performance
  5. Distributor health, product mix, contribution margins
  6. Market share trends and internal vs. external benchmarks
  7. Lead monthly and quarterly reviews with the Sales Head and regional teams.

  8. Market & Competitive Intelligence

  9. Decode off-take, category shifts, and competition using syndicated tools.

  10. Highlight whitespace, under-leveraged channels, and emerging demand pockets.

  11. Promo & Trade Scheme Effectiveness

  12. Assess ROI of trade promotions, discounting, and retail programs.

  13. Recommend sharper targeting and spend optimization strategies.

  14. Forecasting & Planning Support

  15. Partner with Sales & Supply Chain to create robust forecasts using historical data, trend analysis, and business inputs.

  16. Support AOP, quarterly target setting, and territory-level planning.

  17. Distributor & Channel Analytics

  18. Analyze stock rotation, fill rates, and coverage to flag risks and improve distributor productivity.

  19. Deep-dive into channel-specific drivers (GT, MT, E-comm) for tailored action.

  20. Strategic Sales Insights

  21. Package complex data into crisp, actionable insights for Sales, Trade Marketing, and Brand teams.

  22. Influence commercial strategy through storytelling, not just numbers.

  23. Tools, Systems & Data Integrity

  24. Own data accuracy, availability, and standardization across reporting platforms.

  25. Identify tool upgrades and automation opportunities to scale insights delivery.

Who We're Looking For

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel (lookups, pivoting, macros)
  • Power BI / Tableau strong dashboarding experience.
  • Working knowledge of CRM / ERP (SAP, Salesforce)
  • SQL preferred; R / Python a plus, not mandatory
