Position: Machine Design Engineer – SPM & Conveyor Systems

Location: Ghaziabad

Experience: 4–8 years

Department: Design & Development

Employment Type: Full‑time

Role Overview

The Machine Design Engineer will be responsible for designing Special Purpose Machines (SPM), automated conveyor systems, and custom industrial equipment. The role requires strong mechanical design skills, hands‑on engineering knowledge, and proficiency in SolidWorks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design SPMs, conveyors, fixtures, and automation equipment from concept to final detailing
  • Create 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and assembly layouts using SolidWorks
  • Develop mechanisms, linkages, and material‑handling solutions
  • Select components such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, linear guides, belts, rollers, and sensors
  • Work with pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic automation elements
  • Perform load calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection
  • Collaborate with production, electrical, and assembly teams for machine development
  • Support machine assembly, testing, and commissioning on the shop floor
  • Troubleshoot design issues and implement improvements
  • Ensure designs meet safety, performance, and quality standards

Required Skills

  • Strong command of SolidWorks (3D modeling, sheet metal, weldments, assemblies)
  • Good understanding of mechanical design principles, kinematics, and machine mechanisms
  • Experience in designing conveyor systems (belt, roller, chain, modular, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SPM design, automation concepts, and industrial machinery
  • Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, and actuator selection
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Understanding of fabrication, machining, and manufacturing processes
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Qualification

  • Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Additional training in SolidWorks or machine design (preferred)
