Purchase and Procurement Executive

Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify, source, and evaluate suppliers/vendors for raw materials, machinery, and services.
  • Negotiate terms of purchase including price, payment terms, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
  • Issue purchase orders (POs) and maintain accurate purchase records.
  • Ensure timely procurement of required materials to avoid project delays.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Evaluate quotations and prepare cost comparisons for management approval.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Production, Stores, Projects, Accounts) to understand procurement needs.
  • Develop and maintain inventory control systems to minimize shortages and excess stock.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and statutory regulations.
  • Track market trends, research new products, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Key Skills Required :

  • Strong knowledge of procurement & supply chain management.
  • Negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of ERP / Tally or procurement software (preferred).
  • Time management and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, or related field.
  • 26 years of experience in Purchase & Procurement (Manufacturing / Construction / uPVC & Aluminium industry preferred).
