Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Engineer with strong expertise in JCL and COBOL to join our team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge in mainframe systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and related utilities.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions.
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and optimization to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Handle batch processing, job scheduling, and error resolution in mainframe environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for production systems.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with JCL (Job Control Language).
  • Proficiency in COBOL development and maintenance.
  • Good understanding of mainframe utilities, file structures, and debugging tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with DB2, CICS, IMS, or VSAM.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and mainframe security practices.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices in mainframe environments.

Contract Details

  • Duration: 6 Months (Extendable based on performance and business needs)
  • Engagement Type: Contractual
  • Location: onsite

Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary

Pay: ₹90, ₹100,000.00 per month
