Expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS, and z/OS. Strong understanding of mainframe infrastructure including LPARs, HMC, and specialty engines (zIIPs, zAAPs). Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, and security protocols. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in mainframe environments. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure mainframe architectures. Create technical architectural designs and blueprints for mainframe systems. Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for mainframe-related projects. Ensure mainframe systems meet business requirements, performance standards, and compliance regulations. Integrate mainframe systems with distributed platforms and cloud environments. Lead modernization initiatives and legacy system transformation. Optimize system performance and resource utilization. Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures. Mentor and guide mainframe development and operations teams. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for hardware/software procurement and maintenance. Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate them into mainframe strategies
