Mainframe Engineer II

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in Amex office)

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Engineer II with strong hands-on experience in developing and supporting mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in COBOL, DB2, and JCL, and should be capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Experience with IMS, MQ, and Scheduling tools will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL and JCL.Work with DB2 for data management and SQL queries.Participate in application troubleshooting, performance tuning, and debugging.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.Ensure coding standards, documentation, and compliance with best practices.Support production systems and participate in on-call rotations.Assist with implementation of IMS, MQ, and scheduling tools where applicable.Qualifications:69 years of experience in mainframe development and support.Strong programming skills in COBOL, DB2, and JCL.Knowledge of IMS, MQ, and scheduling tools is a plus.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Good communication and collaboration abilities.Ability to work in a hybrid environment with 3 days in the office in Bangalore.
