Role Overview

As a Senior IT & Infrastructure Specialist, you will lead enterprise IT operations, infrastructure modernization, and system reliability initiatives. You will oversee networks, servers, storage, and security while driving adoption of cloud and DevOps practices to support Crayons AI-first transformation.

Youll play a pivotal role in building an IT backbone that enables GenAI platforms like to scale with security and precision.

What Youll Do

  • Infrastructure Leadership Manage enterprise IT systems including servers, networks, storage, virtualization, firewalls, and security tools.

  • System Reliability & Performance Ensure high availability, capacity planning, monitoring, and disaster recovery for critical systems.

  • Cloud Adoption Support hybrid/cloud infrastructure strategies with exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • DevOps Enablement Implement and manage CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and deployment processes in collaboration with engineering teams.

  • Security & Compliance Partner with InfoSec teams to enforce compliance, data protection, and risk management policies.

  • Vendor & Partner Management Oversee IT service providers, contracts, and SLA adherence.

  • Team Mentorship Guide junior engineers, build IT best practices, and foster a culture of agility and innovation.

Who You Are

  • 11-13 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and system administration. Proven expertise in managing enterprise-scale networks, storage, virtualization, and endpoint security.

  • Hands-on exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes/Docker a plus).

  • Strong troubleshooting and incident management capabilities.

  • Skilled at translating business requirements into reliable IT solutions.

  • Effective communicator and team mentor with a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.

  • Based in Chennai, with flexibility for occasional travel for vendor/client interactions.
