About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine to lead the culinary operations of our upscale restaurant located in the heart of Bardez, Goa. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, leadership, and authenticity to our kitchen, delivering high-quality Indian dishes while managing a dynamic culinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring consistent food quality and presentation.
  • Design and execute innovative Indian menus (regional and contemporary), including seasonal and specialty items.
  • Lead, train, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and sanitation as per FSSAI and hotel industry norms.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, cost control, and vendor relationships to ensure efficient purchasing and minimal waste.
  • Collaborate with management on promotions, special events, and guest feedback integration.
  • Monitor food preparation methods and portion sizes to ensure food is prepared as per standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, guest preferences, and competitor offerings.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as an Executive Chef or Head Chef, preferably in a high-end Indian restaurant or resort.
  • Expertise in Indian regional cuisines (North Indian, South Indian, Goan, etc.)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Culinary degree/diploma or equivalent professional experience.
  • Familiarity with food cost management, kitchen administration, and team development.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards.
