About the Role :

The Business Development Officer will play a key role in expanding Vaydyn's footprint in the

UAV ecosystem — across defense, industrial, and enterprise applications. This role requires a

solid understanding of UAV technology, end-user requirements, and the ability to translate

complex engineering capabilities into tangible business outcomes.

You'll be working closely with the leadership, engineering, and operations teams to identify

high-value opportunities, structure partnerships, and manage client engagements from lead

generation to contract closure

Key Responsibilities:

Market Development & Strategy:


• Identify and evaluate potential markets across defense, infrastructure, agriculture, energy,

and surveillance sectors.


• Map regulatory and operational requirements for UAV deployment under DGCA and defense

frameworks.


• Develop go-to-market strategies aligned with product capabilities and industry demand.

Client & Partnership Management:


• Build and manage relationships with government agencies, defense contractors, system

integrators, and industrial clients.


• Prepare detailed proposals, RFP responses, and technical-commercial presentations.


• Coordinate product demonstrations, field trials, and pilot projects with technical teams.

Sales & Revenue Growth:


• Manage the entire business acquisition cycle — from prospecting to negotiation and closure.


• Track and achieve quarterly sales and partnership targets.


• Maintain accurate sales pipelines, reports, and client documentation.

Cross-Functional Coordination:


• Liaise with engineering teams to communicate customer needs and feature requirements.


• Work with procurement, operations, and finance for pricing, delivery timelines, and

compliance.


• Contribute to long-term strategic planning for product-market alignment.

Qualifications & Experience:


• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline (MBA or PGDM

preferred).


• 3–6 years of experience in business development, preferably within UAV, aerospace,

defense, or robotics domains.


• Familiarity with UAV system architecture — including payloads, flight controllers, data links,

and mission planning software.


• Proven experience with government or defense tendering, empanelment, and vendor

registration processes.


• Strong understanding of DGCA regulations, UAV classifications, and licensing procedures.


• Demonstrated ability to handle technical discussions and interpret engineering documents for

clients.
