A Secondment opportunity at ISA in Partnership with the Government of Denmark. Overview A secondment opportunity is now available at the International Solar Alliance (ISA), financed by the Government of Denmark. ISA has recently initiated a new thematic program focused on the expansion of solar -powered Green Hydrogen (GH2). ISA's engagement with Denmark is a key part of the Green Strategic Partnership between India and Denmark, launched in September 2020. Denmark's cooperation with India encompasses a wide range of initiatives, including international efforts to combat climate change. The International Solar Alliance (ISA) is an international organisation, co -founded by France and India. The ISA is a 120 -member -state organization, headquartered in Gurgaon, National Capital Region of India. At ISA, we strive to transition and transform the energy sector from a fossil -based to a zero -carbon solar energy source. We are establishing a dedicated cooperation platform among solar -richcountries where the global community, including bilateral and multilateral organizations, corporations, industries, and other stakeholders, can positively contribute to the transition to solar energy. We are helping our Member States meet their energy needs in a safe, convenient, affordable, equitable, and sustainable manner. Responsibilities of the role Reporting to the Officer responsible for the Green Hydrogen Program (at ISA) or a designated officer The incumbent will support the ISA through the following areas• Under this program, ISA will establish a Centre of Excellence for innovation in GH2, aimed at increasing production, usage, and trade of green hydrogen. • Creating a learning platform and fostering competence development within the GH2 value chain. • Implement the program and assist in the start -up of the Centre of Excellence (from initial Program origination, and design through to implementation and operation). • Conduct feasibility studies, resource assessments, and risk analysis. • Drive innovative modeling in hydrogen storage, transportation, and utilization technologies. • Lead and support the ISA Secretariat in consultations with policymakers, regulatory bodies global stakeholders in the GH2 sector and collaborate with international organizations in renewable energy, including IRENA, GWEC, and GOWA. • Analyze market trends and provide insights on technological advancements Languages & IT skills The role demands a very high level of writing and verbal communication skills. As English is the official and working language of the Organization, excellent command of both written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of other languages (i.e., French, Spanish, and Arabic) would be advantageous. The role demands substantial writing and verbal communication skills. Satisfactory skills in ERP, ICT implementation project management systems/software, Outlook, and MS Office products, and experience in managing this role is required. Your Place of Work (if successful with the recruitment process) This role will be based out of the Secretariat of the ISA, Gurgaon, Haryana State, or at the ISA's facility in Delhi, India, or any other facility deemed necessary by the ISA.Requirements Education and Experience: • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) in sustainable energy or hydrogen technologies are preferred. • Experience: 10 years (or more) of experience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on hydrogen production, storage, and distribution. • Hands -on experience with electrolysis technologies or hydrogen fuel cells is highly desirable. • Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and modeling the performance of hydrogen systems. • Experience in managing complex renewable energy projects from conception through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. • Knowledge of environmental regulations, safety standards, and permitting requirements for hydrogen projects (considered highly favorable). • Certifications: Professional certifications in renewable energy or hydrogen technology are an advantage. • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the renewable energy market, particularly hydrogen's role in energy transition and de -carbonization strategies.
